Policies & Terms of Service
Honest Rules for a Reliable Connection
1. Acceptable Use (The Neighbor Standard)
In the electrical trade, we are judged by uptime. This policy ensures every family on our network enjoys a stable connection. To “protect the flow,” we prohibit “clogging the pipe” through:
- Data Flooding: Automated scripts or botnets that burden our locally-engineered infrastructure.
- Unmanaged File Sharing: High-volume P2P servers that cause buffering for your neighbors.
- Commercial Resale: Reselling a residential plan is strictly prohibited; it is for single-household use only.
2. Privacy Policy (Your Data)
At Higher Speed Internet, we don’t monitor your clicks or sell your history. We only collect the data necessary to bill you and keep your connection active. Your private life is your business; our job is just to provide the “pipe.” We comply with all local and federal law enforcement requests only when presented with a valid legal warrant.
3. Terms of Service (The Handshake)
By using HSI, you agree to pay your monthly bill on time. In return, we provide the best engineered connection possible. Service is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis.
While we take pride in our hardware, we are not liable for lost data or business income resulting from equipment failure or weather events. By using this service, you waive the right to any claims beyond the cost of one month’s service fee.
Governance: This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico. Any disputes shall be handled via local mediation in the East Mountain area before escalating to any legal action.
Billing Note: Bills are due on the 1st of each month. If you’re having a tough month, call us before the 1st. We’re neighbors—we can usually work something out if the communication is honest.
Hallelujah for being a good neighbor! We appreciate you helping us keep the East Mountains connected.
