I grew up under the wing of a successful electrical contractor. My father ran his business with a simple philosophy: if you’re going to do a job, do it right the first time, and always treat your neighbor’s home like your own. Those years weren’t just about wires and circuits; they were about the weight of a promise made to the community.

A Note from Steven
When you see the Higher Speed logo, you’ll notice a hot air balloon rising up. In New Mexico, we know that flying a balloon takes more than just hot air; it takes patience, an understanding of the elements, and a lot of heart. That’s how I look at technology, too.
I earned my degree in Electrical Engineering, but it wasn’t a walk in the park. It took me six and a half years of grit and late nights. I remember thinking to myself, “This major is way over my head,” but I stuck it out because I believe in finishing what you start.
It means I don’t think a title makes me any better than the folks I serve here in the East Mountains. To me, that effort is just proof that a person is willing to tough it out until the job is done.
